Aged dependent relative visa (subclass 114 and 838) allows Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen to sponsor his older relative to live in Australia permanently.  The relative must be dependent on his sponsor financially and meet the age requirements.
 

Subclass 114 is an offshore visa application whereas Subclass 838.

Last remining relative visa (subclass 835) allows Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen to sponsor his near relative who is left in his home country whereas the rest of the family are all settled in Australia to apply for this category visa.

This visa has a long processing period and has quota, so it is only logically to apply for subclass 835 visa which is onshore application. The applicant will be given Bridging A visa once he lodged the visa.
